Welcome to Twinfield Middle School Humanities!
This will be a year like no other, and as nervous as we are about the uncertainty of this school year; we are as equally excited to reimagine the learning experiences we will create for and with our students. We are a new team this year, and we welcome Tom Meegan to the North Side as our new ELA teacher. Humanities is a combination of English Language Arts and Social Studies. It is our goal to integrate these subjects to make learning more authentic. This year Humanities will also be integrating with art, music and health.
Humanities will look different this year, many of the projects and experiences we've been able to provide for our middle school students over the years will not be compatible with our need for safety during the Covid-19 pandemic. But we will strive to create new meaningful and engaging projects that will provide targeted practice of essential skills such as reading strategies, critical thinking and writing skills.
